The "Expectations and Outcome" feature makes it easy to see if the price target your company has set is realistic or not.
CAUTION: The activation of the "Expectations and Results" feature does not affect the calculation of your fixing advice calendar and does not commit the application provider to fulfilling your price target.
The application always calculates the optimal version of your fixing advice calendar based on market data, your choice of risk management strategy and the dates before which you wish to receive fixing advice.
INDICATE YOUR EXPECTED PRICE
- From the 'Details of the Optimisation' page, go to 'Settings'. In the 'Expectations and outcome' column, click on 'Define'.
- Close the alert pop-up.
- Indicate your consumption forecasts period by period. In the case of a multi-indexed electricity contract, enter the consumption index by index.
- If you have already made fixing for this contract, indicate the prices you have agreed with your supplier.
- Indicate the final price you wish to achieve.
If you want to define a global price for all your consumption periods, click on 'for the entire optimisation'.
If you want to define a specific price for each consumption period click on 'by period'. - Click on 'Validate'.
COMPARE WITH THE AVERAGE PRICE OF PAST FIXING
The average price of fixings does not take into account fixings recommended for later. Our forecasts provide information on price trends in the wholesale market, the market from which suppliers construct their prices. Our forecasts therefore do not allow us to estimate the amount that will be offered to you by the supplier.
CASE 1: You have defined a global price to be reached for the whole optimisation
In the 'Detail of the Optimisation' page, in the 'Settings' block, in the 'Expectations and outcome' column, compare at a glance the Overall expected price and the average price so far.
